After a fall in her garden left her with ongoing lower back pain, TPC client Heather, 91, set herself a meaningful goal:
“To be able to prepare my meals without significant back pain.”
This was in January of this year, and with the support of her TPC physio May-Ann, we’re pleased to say Heather has officially smashed that goal! 🙌
Heather’s goal was close to her heart – literally and professionally!
As a former dietician, Heather has always been intentional about what she eats, preparing simple but nutritionally balanced meals for herself.
But back pain made everyday cooking a challenge.
May-Ann focused on relieving Heather’s muscle tension with massage, addressing posture changes and gradually building up her strength with core-focused exercises and pacing strategies.
The result?
Heather is back in the kitchen, preparing her go-to meals again, pain-free!
What’s on the menu at Heather’s place these days? How’s this for starters: Hearty veggie soup for lunches, homemade meat pies, and our personal favourite… egg custard topped with choc ripple biscuit crumbs. 🍮😋
What a delicious comeback, Heather!
