Our team. Our Culture

Tpc Team Gptw Top Right Original Faces

We’re proud to be recognised as one of Australia’s Best Places to Work, but what matters most to us is creating a workplace where our team genuinely loves coming to work.

We’re big on supporting each other, having fun, celebrating the wins  – while also supporting each other through the challenges. Most importantly, we want every TPCer to grow in confidence, both as a physio and as a person.

And at the heart of it all are four simple values that guide how we show up for our clients and each other every day.

Want more quality time with your clients, the chance to see the progress you make together – and weekends that are actually yours?

At The Physio, we have one purpose: to help seniors stay mobile, safe and happy.

As a community physiotherapist, you”ll have the opportunity to support your clients over time, really getting to know them, understand what matters to them, and help them achieve goals that make a meaningful difference in their everyday life.

That might mean helping someone regain confidence after a fall, to walk safely to their local café again, to play with their grandkids, to get back to an exercise class, or simply stay living independently at home for longer.

And while you’ll have the independence and autonomy of working in the community, you’ll never feel like you are doing it alone. You’ll have a supportive and connected TPC team behind you.

You’ll spend your days visiting seniors in their homes, supporting them over time and helping them stay mobile, confident and independent.

Your role will include:

  • Conducting in-home physiotherapy assessments and treatments

  • Developing personalised goal plans tailored to each client’s individual needs and priorities

  • Delivering targeted, client-centred physiotherapy interventions

  • Supporting clients to improve their balance, strength, mobility and overall physical function

  • Building meaningful relationships with clients, families, carers and other health professionals

  • Celebrating the milestones and goals your clients achieve along the way.

You’ll have autonomy to manage your day, while travelling between clients in their homes and retirement villages, with occasional aged care visits.

We’re looking for someone who is warm, proactive, organised, and genuinely enjoys building relationships with older people. Someone who cares about what matters to their clients, takes ownership of their work, stays on top of their responsibilities and can confidently manage their day while working independently in the community. Most importantly, you’ll want to help your clients continue doing the things they love.

You’ll also need:

  • A Physiotherapy degree and current AHPRA registration

  • Availability to work a minimum of three days
  • A current driver’s licence and access to a car
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Effective time management sills
  • A warm empathetic and client – centred approach
  • The ability to work independently in the community, while staying connected with your wider team.

New to community physio? That’s absolutely okay. Community experience isn’t essential – we provide structured onboarding, shadowing and ongoing support to help you settle into the role.

  • No weekend work – your weekend are yours to enjoy.
  • Autonomy over your calendar, giving you flexibility on how you structure your day.
  • A genuinely supportive and values-driven culture where we are each others biggest supporters.

  • A dedicated Team Leader and buddy so you’ll always have someone to turn to for support.
  • Support from a dedicated Client Care Team, taking care of much of the admin behind the scenes so you can focus on what you do best – helping your clients.
  • Structured onboarding and shadowing to help you feel confident before heading out on your own.

  • New TPCer / grad training and coaching to support you as you build your skills and confidence.

  • Ongoing professional development support to keep you learning and growing.
  • Profit Share – because when TPC succeeds, we believe our team should share that success too.
  • Device and kilometre reimbursements

If you’re looking for a physiotherapy role that brings purpose, flexibility and joy to your work — we’d love to hear from you. 🧡

Common questions we get asked

A TPCer is what we call the wonderful people who make up our team.

While we bring different personalities, strengths and experiences, TPCers share a few things in common:  we care about people, love helping seniors smash meaningful goals and support and learn from each other. We are also passionate about helping TPC achieve our Painted Picture – and our clients to live mobile, safe and happy lives.

No two days at TPC are quite the same. As a mobile physio you’ll have plenty of autonomy over your day while supporting a varied caseload of seniors with different needs, goals and challenges.

When you first join us, we won’t throw you in the deep end. Following our initial shadowing, we’ll gradually build your caseload as you settle into your role and grow in confidence.

Here’s an example of what a day at TPC could look like:

Screenshot 2024 03 13 122830 800x472

A note:  Within your first 12 months, we hope to have built your caseload to 70-80% billable (which is around 30 clients per week if working full time)

We know that learning doesn’t stop once you become a physio. Whether you’re a new grad or bringing experience with you, we’ll make sure you have the support, tools and confidence to thrive as a community physio.

When you join TPC:

Onboarding

We’ve developed a very structured onboarding process for our new physios:

  • A welcome day in which we celebrate YOU! 🥳 We don’t just have a delicious lunch in your honour, we also train you on everything you need to know about TPC and the systems we use.
  • Two weeks of shadowing with another TPCer, giving you time to learn the ropes until you are comfortable to see clients independently.
  • Your own TPC buddy – a mentor who will provide you with the support and guidance required to successfully launch your TPC career.
  • One training session per week for a year with our TPC coach that is focused on becoming an expert in ageing and how to become the best TPCer you can be.
  • A small caseload of clients with a range of conditions to challenge your learning, growing this as you feel more confident.
Ongoing training / support
  • You will have a dedicated team leader supporting your development, wellbeing and day-to-day work.
  • Weekly coaching sessions with our wonderful TPC coaches to keep building your clinical, non-clinical and professional skills.
  • Monthly whole company meetings which include professional development on topics that are both clinical and non-clinical.
  • TPC Annual SWARM – A full day of learning, connection and interactive professional development with the whole TPC team!
  • Financial support for external professional development to continue your learning.
  • On demand educational resources on our internal website whenever you need them.

Being a mobile team doesn’t mean working in isolation. Staying connected is a big part of our culture, and we create plenty of opportunities to check in, learn together, celebrate and simply have fun as a team.

  • Daily phone huddles among the teams to celebrate wins, share client stories, work through roadblocks and stay connected.
  • Weekly team catch-ups  for updates and  professional development as a team.
  • Monthly whole  team meetings where we celebrate our awards, provide company updates and spend time together as a wider TPC team.
  • Regular social team catch-ups plus our annual birthday and Christmas celebrations.
  • TPC SWARM– our annual whole- team event bringing everyone together for learning, connection, fun and awards.
  • Our MVP program where TPCers nominate and recognise their teammates who bring our values to life.
  • Our team Whatsapp group for sharing updates, celebrations and the everyday moments in between.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) providing free, confidential support for your wellbeing.

We want your career at TPC to grow with you.

Through regular check-ins with your Team Leader, we’ll get to know your strengths, interests and areas you’d like to develop, and work with you to create a development path that feels right for you.

For some TPCers, that means continuing to grow their clinical skills. For others, it means exploring opportunities beyond their clinical caseload.

Over the years our physio’s have had the opportunities to:

  • Step into leadership roles
  • Become coaches and mentors, supporting other TPCers.
  • Develop non-clinical skills in areas such as recruitment, marketing and client support.
  • Get involved in new projects and initiatives across TPC.

There isn’t one pathway you have to follow. As TPC continues to grow, we want our people to have opportunities to learn, try new things and build a career that plays to their strengths…and to have a career they love!

The Physio Co is a small business with a big heart – and some pretty big ambitions.

We are committed to growing, improving and becoming the best version of itself as a people-focused business. One way we do that is by being brave enough to decide what our future will look like and then working hard to bring that vision to life.

For example:  The Physio Co has a long-term goal that we call our ‘10-Year Obsession’.

That is, over 10 years – from March 1, 2025, to June 30, 2035, our senior clients will walk enough steps to walk to the moon!

And every TPCer has a part to play in bringing that future to life.

10 Years is a very long time and so the leaders here at The Physio Co create a shorter, 3-year vision (we call it our ‘Painted Picture’) which serves as a stepping stone to achieving our 10-Year Obsession.

Painted Picture 1

Not at all.

Experience working with seniors is great, but isn’t essential. What matters most to us is that your kind, are willing to learn and have a passion to help seniors to smash their goals!

We’ll support you with structured onboarding, shadowing, ongoing training and a dedicated team around you, so you can build your confidence and skills along the way.

Of course! We do require 3 days minimum, but part time is absolutley an option.

Our working days are from 8-5pm, Monday to Friday. No weekends!
