We’ve done it again!

I’m very proud to announce that The Physio Co (TPC) has been ranked as one of Australia’s best places to work for the tenth year in a row.

The Best Places to Work annual study, which catalogues 50 employers nationally, is based on one of the world’s most comprehensive studies of workplace culture by Great Place to Work Australia.

TPC first made the list at 37 in 2009 and has been an annual inclusion ever since, peaking in 2014 when it was ranked number one. This year we have been listed 8th in the over-100 employees category.

We now employ nearly 150 people across five states and provide close to 300,000 consultations per year. That means we’re on-track to deliver our two millionth consultation next year.

How have we managed to consistently be recognised as one of the best places to work in Australia?

I’ll say straight up it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. There have been some really challenging times when our growth was slow, and equally, when we expanded too quickly and suffered growing pains as a result.

But through it all, we’ve stuck to our guns and continued to build upon the foundations that have got us there, specifically embodying our core purpose, living our core values, plus focusing on our 10-year obsession of delivering two million consultations.

As a result, we have made steady progress and managed to maintain our rank as one of Australia’s best places to work.

This hasn’t happened by chance, however. We’ve had three important things in place to keep us motivated and on-track:

1. an inspiring purpose or cause,
2. a documented vision of the future, and
3. a team that humbly lives a ‘find a better way’ approach to learning, improving and growing.

I’m so proud that the TPC team has been willing to stick together, accept responsibility for our destiny, 100 percent ‘own’ problems when they pop up, celebrate our successes (big and small), and learn from the inevitable stuff-ups that challenge us.

Want to know the best bit? It feels like we’re just getting started!

A huge thanks to everyone who has helped us reach this magnificent 10-year milestone: past and present team members, partners family members and clients. We couldn’t have done it without you!
