How TPC’s online physio service helped Aashni’s business
Aashni was cleaning at home when her little finger got caught up in her sofa.
Within minutes, it became obvious Aashni had seriously injured her finger and a trip to the hospital confirmed a fracture.
Despite the appropriate healing time, Aashni could no longer move her finger like normal and was advised to visit a physiotherapist.
Aashni and her husband own a busy baked goods business. To make matters worse, Aashni does not drive, so attending a physiotherapy appointment meant depending on her husband or using public transport, neither of which did not fit easily into her schedule.
Aashni had one physiotherapy session and started doing prescribed exercises at home. However, over time she fell off the exercise bandwagon and as a result continued to have reduced movement and pain in her little finger, requiring her to adjust her routine to accommodate her predicament.
Baking cookies was Aashni’s passion and she was worried she wouldn’t be able to produce a batch for her husband’s work exhibition.
She had all but given up on the idea when a friend suggested the option of online physiotherapy. The idea appealed to Aashni as a quick and convenient way to get professional help to get her back to doing what she loved.
Aashni contacted The Physio Co support team, who immediately booked her in for an online physio consultation.
After a thorough assessment online, the TPC physio prescribed Aashni an exercise program and some non-pharmacological pain relief.
Aashni was also sent an exercise program after her first consultation, which helped her to complete the prescribed exercises, then regularly reviewed to ensure she was staying on top of her exercises and progressing.
Within three weeks, Aashni could bend her finger 70 per cent more than before and, most importantly, was pain-free much of her day.
The best part? She was able to bake those cookies without any hassles, in time for her husband’s work exhibition.
